NOW PAY US WHAT WE ARE OWED

Brave United Workers Union members have WON their claim for backpay from Aegis.

In a letter, Aegis have said they will pay backpay for any amounts  owed, including overtime, over the last six years to workers paid through Aegis’s wholly-owned labour hire company, Staffwest.

Unfortunately it’s not good enough that Aegis have agreed to backpay their workers, but are now asking workers to trust a company-run process they are using to determine that backpay.

Aegis aged care workers have to fight to make sure workers’ voices are heard, and these underpayments are not swept under the carpet.
