Penalty rates & Entitlements for aged care workers
The end-of-year holidays leave many aged care workers worrying about being paid the correct penalty rates and annual leave loading.
Unfortunately, many employers get away with underpaying their staff during these times as workers either don’t know what is owed to them or don’t know how follow up their pay.
Everyone deserves to receive their correct entitlements!
To help workers get equipped with the knowledge and tools required to check their pay and follow up their employer – your union is running a free online info session on ‘Penalty Rates & Entitlements for Aged Care Workers’.
This free session will run for about 30 minutes and you’ll also have the chance to ask questions in the end. If you’re unable to attend at this time, please register regardless and we will send you the recording of the session afterwards.
WHEN: 24 January – 2.30pm (WA), 4.30pm (QLD), 5pm (SA), 5.30pm (NSW/TAS)
WHERE: Online over Zoom

Our Member Rights Expert and Legal Advisor will explain:

- A Pay Calculator tool you can use to find out exactly how much you are meant to be paid
- How Unions won Penalty Rates and how we keep fighting to keep them
- + We will share a story of an aged care worker who fought for and won back lost pay!
The more workers at your workplace gain this knowledge and the tools available to them, the better equipped you are against potential exploitation from management.
