WHY ARE BOSCH WORKERS STRIKING?
Producing everything from car parts to power tools, Bosch is a billion-dollar, multinational company. This wouldn’t be possible without blue-collar workers, yet somehow Bosch’s blue-collar workers report serious and persistent disrespect from their company.
With the cost of living lapping their pay, workers have called on Bosch to respect them by making a fair offer of pay and conditions. Yet Bosch has driven all over their genuine attempts to negotiate.
WHAT WORKERS WANT:
Fair Pay
Bosch has started a race to the bottom with their two-tiered pay system. Workers doing the same job, in the same workplace, are being paid less by Bosch, simply because of when they started. Workers want the same pay at a rate that keeps them up with the cost of living.
Job Security
Bosch is keeping long-serving workers with uncertain futures on casual contracts. Workers deserve and need a pathway to permanent work, so they can plan their lives and support their families.
Respect
All workers should be treated with respect in the workplace. Workers should not feel intimidated or be spoken down to at Bosch. Now they're fighting back.
