We the undersigned employees at Club Tweed all agree that the new converse footwear that the club is requiring us to wear from 1 November 2021 are not appropriate for our industry.

The converse footwear are not practical and unsafe in our working environment. The footwear do not provide enough support to workers who are standing for long periods of time, or to workers who are walking constantly during their shift, nor are they safe in wet areas.

We call on the club to reconsider these type of shoes as part of our new uniform and to consult with workers on what are suitable and safe footwear for our industry.
