Save Boags
Keep your XXXX off our Boags!
You can’t put a Boags label on a Queensland-made beer and call it Boags.
What's at stake
- LION wants to shut down the Launceston brewery and move production interstate, stripping a Tasmanian icon from the place that made it what it is.
- Boags isn’t just a label. It’s local jobs, local manufacturing, and part of Tasmania’s identity.
- Workers made this brand what it is, and now they’re the ones being cut out of its future.
- If LION no longer wants to brew Boags in Tasmania, it should sell to someone who does.

Keep Boags Tasmanian
TO: LION
We, the undersigned, call on LION to stop the closure of the Boags Brewery in Launceston and keep brewing in Tasmania.
Boags is built and brewed in Tasmania by Tasmanian workers. Now, those same workers are being sidelined while production is pushed interstate.
We reject the relocation of production interstate and the stripping of a Tasmanian icon from its home.
If LION no longer wants to brew Boags in Tasmania, it must sell the brewery and brand to someone who does.
Boags stays Tasmanian.
