Your Union for Food Manufacturing Workers

We make the food that you eat.

From pre-packaged salads, to popcorn, doughnuts, soups and everything between, we manufacture much of the food and drink you enjoy everyday. Whether purchased at your local supermarket, favourite cafe or delivered to your door, we are the people who ensure your food is of the highest quality. We work in bakeries, breweries, wineries and other production sites. We are highly skilled at what we do and work hard to make sure food and beverages are safe and free from contamination and allergens.

Together we are organising to challenge casualisation, unsafe systems of work and wage theft in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Food and beverage workers demand all workers have a job they can count on.

United Workers Union is our union for workers in food and beverage manufacturing.

UWU represents over 150,000 workers from all walks of life across Australia.  Throughout our history, we’ve shown when working people come together, we win.

We fight hard for jobs you can count on, decent pay and conditions, and respect at work. Your union is here to help you, we provide a range of quality services, benefits and representation when you need it.
