Can you help workers keep up their fight? Every cent counts.

General Mills workers are on strike for respect and a fair pay increase.

On 3 June 2021, General Mills workers went on strike for a fair wage increase. They are now asking the community to support their fight.

United Workers Union members at General Mills, who make Old El Paso and Latina Fresh pasta, are on strike in Rooty Hill, NSW. Their fight is all too familiar – after working hard through the pandemic to meet increased demand, and delivering massive profits to their employer, workers have been hit with an offer of low pay rises and cuts to their conditions.

They are ready to stay out until they win what they demand: Respect, a fair pay offer and job security.

How can the community show their support?

General Mills is one of the biggest food companies in the world and make billions in profit every year. They can afford to give these workers a fair pay rise, they even pay their CEO $24 MILLION a year – but instead they are refusing.

We need to give these workers the support they need to keep fighting this international giant and show them that when workers and the community are united, they are stronger than any big corporation!

Your support sends a clear message to General Mills: Respect your workers!

Where does the money go?

The money that is raised goes to the United Workers Union to be spent assisting the workers to get through this difficult period.
